My daughter was also tongue tied and with some worries over her weight gain has been bottle fed EBM and is now 13 weeks old, but she will take a breastfeed in the morning and when half asleep so as I plan to breastfeed until she is at least a year old, I would really love to get her getting her milk direct from the cow, so to speak! ;)Mellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14927549039556605707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3102141287849407838.post-85917403069234172222013-08-07T13:08:25.810+01:002013-08-07T13:08:25.810+01:00A fascinating and enlightening read... My daughter...A fascinating and enlightening read... My daughter was bottle fed with EBM from about 2 days old until about 3 weeks, as she was tongue-tied and I was very poorly postpartum (sippy cups frustrated her because she was SO hungry and just kept tipping them over in her eagerness). At 3 weeks we started the process of trying to switch to the breast, and by about 10 weeks she was exclusively breastfed, with maybe the odd bottle of EBM every now and again. At about 4 months she decided mummy was the preferred option, and has refused the bottle ever since. Secretly I was pleased (it was hard work getting her to switch!), but I was also a little bit worried... however this article has allowed me to not give it another thought :) Thank you!
